Extended Wear Contact Lenses

Extended wear contact lenses offer many advantages over regular contact lenses. For starters, you don’t need to worry about storing and cleaning your lenses at all – wear them for as long as you want and then throw them away when you want a new pair. The fact that you don’t need to take the lenses out overnight is also a big advantage – you’ll never need to worry about falling asleep without taking out your contacts, because with extended wear lenses it’s allowed. Plus, you don’t have to allow time in the morning to insert your contact lenses, with extended wear you can wake up and have perfect vision straight away. There’ll be no need to carry around your glasses in case you need to take your contact lenses out after a long time of wearing them, as you’ll be continuously comfortable staying in contact lenses all day and all night.

If you think your prescription is too obscure or strong for extended wear contact lenses, don’t worry, we have contact lenses suitable for a range of prescriptions and all appropriate for continuous wear. Biotrue, PureVision and Acuvue all offer lenses for presbyopia (age-related long-sightedness) and you can even choose multifocal extended wear lenses, which allow you to use lenses for more than one prescription; ideal if you suffer from presbyopia but also need a prescription for far sight, as well. If you need toric lenses for an astigmatism, your options include CooperVision’s Biofinity and Johnson & Johnson’s Acuvue Oasys; both really comfortable, easy to use lenses that will correct your vision and let you choose how long you want to wear your lenses continuously for.
